Nancy's Return

Nancy will arrive at her home in Alaska in the wee hours of Tuesday September 16. She looks forward to connecting with friends and family on the phone and in person. An Alaskan memorial for Dan has been scheduled for October 5 in Palmer. Please check "The Reception" this website for developing details.

In some cultures during a period of greif the community will come together to support the loved ones. when the time comes to welcome nancy back to the home she shared with dan, we need to be there to support her with flowers companionship and meals. soon future plans will become more apparent, we should be prepared with flowers and organize a schedule so that once a day a friend could prepare a meal and bring it to share at the Drydens table.

recovery upon return

The love and support that our family has felt in response to the assault on my Mom and Dad is miraculous and most graciously received. The brutality in which my dad died is shocking and incomprehensible but the abundance of love we have felt from our community including those unknown to us is immeasurable. People have asked what can they donate, or how can they help. Your sincere love and genuine concern for us, Nancy's recovery, Dan's journey to god, and your fellow human beings is of most help of all.
If you are interested in giving more we are accepting donations to aid in my mothers healing. This money will be used for necessary doctors visits, and healing therapies to help my mom process the trauma and pain from the assault and the grief of losing her husband and life long partner.
